Club History and Objectives

Harpurhey Swimming Club was founded in 1909 and is amongst the oldest swimming clubs in the country.

Old Harpurhey Swimming Baths

We currently operate out of the North City Family and Fitness Centre. Our aim is to encourage and promote the teaching and coaching of competitive aquatic sports. If you are interested in joining the club, please complete the interest form and return to Harpurhey Swimming Club.

We are dedicated to giving the finest in coaching and training facilities to allow all our swimmers to reach their full potential. To enable this to happen, we have a progressive, structured training programme, catering for all abilities. All the swimming coaches are volunteers with professional aquatic qualifications.

Throughout the swimming clubs history, it has been responsible for teaching many children from the surrounding area how to swim up to competative levels.
